| Welcome
to The Main Bed & Breakfast Inn, located in Palacios on the Texas Gulf Coast.
Capt. Nick Nichols and Bosun Kathy Nichols are the innkeepers and your hosts
for enjoying the sights of town.
The Inn is a German Gothic style stone house,
built in 1915. It was awarded a Registered Texas Historic Landmark
designation in 2005. From the spacious front porch (ideal for
parade viewing or counting pick-up trucks) to the green house at the
back, (that's where the kitty cats gather) attention has been given to
preserve the character and integrity of the structure.
Choose from six different accommodations at
the Inn: two rooms in the Main house, each with private baths and private
entrances; and four bungalows, ideal for families or fishermen, with fully
equipped kitchens,
air conditioning, and cable television.
Other features include:
- Wireless internet is available throughout the Inn
- Linens, line-dried in the coastal breeze
- Full vegetation breakfast served in the Main house
between 8 and 9, featuring homegrown herbs and yard eggs, and coffee is
always on by 7.
- Friday evening guests: check in early and join
Nick and Kathy for an hour of wine and music, on the back porch.
Selections from "Sea Stories and Fairy Tales," by Swami
Nichols, are also available.
