upper lever is nice for viewing the bay and the lower pier is great for fishing.

Seafood is the #1 industry in Palacios, with shrimp and oysters being the main products brought into the port. A visit to Gold Coast early in the morning during oyster season will find people opening the oysters, cleaning and packing them for shipping. Vernon Bates, Jr. holds the finished product. |
